Board Cut List Solver is session-scoped by construction: there is no rack to maintain and nothing to keep true. You add the boards actually in front of you, tap the defects onto a proportional strip — a knot at 34 inches spanning 3, sapwood from 0 to 12, wane on the left edge, a figure zone to reserve — and solve. It rips lanes to width and then packs each lane along the length with your measured blade kerf accumulated per cut, your end trim and snipe, defect exclusion spans with the margin each defect needs, and your rip and sled limits. It places every part or tells you it cannot: infeasibility is reported before you spend the board, with the shortfall and a specific stock size that closes it. The two things a free packer does not do are the point. The appearance ruleset ships as constraints rather than advice: a drawer-front run is packed sequentially from one lane, door pairs come from adjacent rips, and grain-locked parts stay locked. And the ordered cut sequence is treated as a safety surface — grouped by rip fence setting for the machine you own, with a pass that flags narrow rips needing a push block, crosscuts that must not be referenced off the rip fence, captured offcuts, and the riving-knife assumption. Dimensions parse as 1 23/32in, 0.71875, 18mm or 1' 5 1/2", and a column with mixed units is flagged rather than silently imported as inches when it was millimetres. Cutlists paste in with auto-detected columns. Leftovers are a printout, not a database: below your useful threshold is firewood, above it you tape the list to the wood. Keeping app-produced offcuts for next time is strictly opt-in, every offcut carries the solve that made it and its age, and infeasibility is never reported against stock you have not confirmed. The solve is seeded, so the same bench and parts give the same plan tomorrow. Four locales.
